The Balloon Museum is one of those places we usually add to our list when we are in the Albuquerque area. We have both been fascinated with ballooning, having taken a balloon ride when younger, although not here in Albuquerque. It is always fun to visit the Balloon Museum.

There are several exhibits in the Museum, showcasing different people who have been prominent in the ballooning industry, as well as exhibits about the history and science, physics, and engineering behind the concept of ballooning.
The Balloon Museum hosts different events throughout the year, including the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, which is visited by thousands if not millions of people annually.

A visit to the Museum could take just a couple of hours, or much longer, depending on how much time you would like to spend perusing the exhibits. Looking out the windows of the Museum enhances your visit, offering scenic and panoramic views of the Sandia Mountains.
The Balloon Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm. It is a good idea to visit their website as hours could change. The Balloon Museum offers guided yours, educational programs, and hands-on-workshops. The gift shop has many balloon themed items for sale.
